Shift window installation August 1-31, 2021

I like gardens and being in my garden was particularly important during the pandemic when most of my cultural consumption and relationships relied on a 12 inch screen. Surprisingly, this small window kept me from feeling culturally deprived or unusually isolated. This ease of adaptability got me thinking about the notion of our attachment to the real thing. Just how much of the real thing do I need in my experience of the natural world? What if nature and my garden were mediated through my 12 inch screen?
